What to do before Stocky shuts down on August 31, 2026

Updated 15 August 2026

Stocky is switched off on August 31, 2026. This is the short version of what to do, in order.

1. Export everything Stocky will give you

Shopify says read-only access continues for at least 90 days after the shutdown so you can finish exporting — but do not build a plan on that.

  • Completed purchase order reports, as CSV.
  • Your stocktake history.
  • Your historical cost data.

2. Rebuild what Stocky will not export

Shopify states plainly that suppliers cannot be exported from Stocky. If your supplier list only lives there, it disappears with the app.

Our free tool reconstructs it from your purchase order exports: every supplier that appears on an order, with how many lines you bought from them and when you last ordered. It runs in your browser, so the files are never uploaded anywhere.

3. Decide what actually has to be replaced

Write down the gestures your staff repeat every week. For most single-shop retailers the list is short: raise a purchase order, receive a delivery and fix the cost, print labels for what arrived, count the shelves.

Anything beyond that — forecasting, multi-channel, planning scenarios — is a different product at a different price. Do not buy it because a comparison article told you to.

4. Test the replacement on a real delivery before the deadline

Whatever you choose, run one real delivery through it end to end: order, receive part of it, check the cost that lands back in Shopify, print the labels, and count one shelf. That takes an afternoon and it is the only way to know.
